POSITION:
Production Technician – Carpentry Finish & Painter Focus
DESCRIPTION
Capsule is hiring a Finish Carpenter / Production Technician to join our team, reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing. The primary responsibility of this role is finishing carpentry and professional painting for custom-built units, service assemblies, and other customer projects. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality finishes that meet customer specifications and aesthetic standards.
This is a full-time onsite role, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. We’re looking for someone with a great work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive team-player attitude who can thrive in a dynamic production environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform high-quality finish carpentry, including trim work, cabinetry, doors, and detailed wood installations.
Apply professional-grade paint and finishes to wood, metal, drywall, and other surfaces to a clean, consistent standard.
Frame walls and ceilings using proper construction methods and materials.
Install tape, mud, sand, and prepare drywall surfaces for painting and finishing.
Interpret construction drawings and specs to complete detailed interior finish work.
Assist in fabricating and assembling interior and exterior architectural features.
Support general production needs, including:
Aluminum powder coat and stainless-steel food service assemblies
Commercial/residential appliance installation
Measuring, cutting, and fitting materials
Assist with facility needs as required: cleaning, organizing, assembly support, deliveries, etc.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces.
REQUIREMENTS
3–5+ years of finished carpentry and/or painting experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship in finishing work.
Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, and production machinery.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans or technical drawings.
Able to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and work in varied conditions.
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (some travel required up to 15%).
