Middleware Technologies Expert - MuleSoft (Hybrid, 2x/Week Onsite)Location: Philadelphia, PA- Onsite 2 days/week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday)
We are looking for a highly skilled Middleware Technologies Expert with deep expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API Management, and modern middleware infrastructure. This is a full-time position requiring onsite presence two days per week (Tues/Wed/Thurs), focused on building, scaling, and supporting mission-critical integration solutions in a hybrid cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities- Architect, implement, and scale enterprise middleware and integration infrastructure.
- Manage and configure MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, policy configuration, clustering, and load balancing.
- Optimize performance of Mule runtimes through JVM and garbage collection tuning.
- Design and execute deployment strategies across OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
- Ensure high availability and resiliency of middleware components and services.
- Enable and mentor internal development teams through shadowing and technical knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with Architects, Developers, Project Managers, and Engineers to deliver integration solutions aligned with business needs.
- Contribute to strategic decisions regarding middleware architecture and technology roadmap.
- Provide production support including incident response, change management, and on-call coverage as needed.
- Drive performance, reliability, and scalability improvements using best practices.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 8+ years of experience in middleware technologies, with strong hands-on MuleSoft administration experience.
- Deep Linux expertise, including command-line troubleshooting and automation.
- Experience in configuring and managing runtime servers and performance tuning of ESB/middleware platforms.
- Hands-on experience with MQ technologies and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Strong understanding of API security, policies, and lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with SDLC, DevOps practices, IT governance, and enterprise software dependencies.
- Ability to work directly with both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills- Experience with containerized middleware deployments and microservices architectures.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
