The Director of Strategic Partnerships will spearhead high-impact brand collaborations, aligning shared business goals through strategic, long-term partnerships. This role will drive in-house advertising solutions, innovative marketing integrations, co-sponsored campaign initiatives and support large-scale activations to cultivate meaningful alliances within Broadway Direct's network in the live entertainment industry.
A creative dealmaker, this individual will transform aligned business goals into high-performing brand initiatives and revenue-optimized solutions that support long-term commercial success for Broadway Direct, its partners, and the broader theater industry.
This individual will collaborate closely with brand leaders, agencies, marketers, theater creators, and key industry stakeholders to drive impact. Success in this role demands expertise in business development, relationship management, and media strategy, combined with strong project management skills and the ability to oversee complex activations with multiple contributors. This role requires someone who thrives under pressure, ensuring seamless execution from pitch and negotiation to activation and performance analysis.
The Director will play a pivotal role in expanding Broadway Direct's market presence, addressing industry-wide challenges, and fostering allyship at the highest levels.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Partnership Development & Revenue Growth- Identify and cultivate long-term strategic partnerships that drive ticket sales and expand revenue opportunities
- Act as the primary liaison with theater producers, marketers, agencies, publishers, and key business entities to foster collaboration
- Proactively seek, develop and pitch opportunities; engaging brands, partners, and industry stakeholders in innovative collaborations
- Facilitate long-term collaboration through twice-yearly business meetings across industry partners.
- Provide quarterly business reviews to leadership, outlining revenue impact, partnership performance, and emerging opportunities
Campaign Management & Execution- Lead advertising sales across the business, managing day-to-day communications, bookings, planning, and campaign oversight
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of campaigns, partnerships, and brand initiatives; provide timely updates for active partners
- Manage cross-functional teams, collaborators & service providers for seamless delivery
- Team up with Director of Marketing to ensure partner strategies and deliverables harmonize with broader business, marketing and revenue initiatives
- Ensure all deadlines are met with precision, professionalism, and quality
- Be a revenue ambassador tying partner initiatives back to ticket sales and revene performance
Performance Analysis & Reporting- Prepare and deliver performance reports, identifying key insights, outcomes, and optimization opportunities for stakeholders.
- Leverage analytics and reporting tools to track campaign effectiveness, assess partner impact, and refine future strategies.
Skills & Qualifications:- Proven experience in business development, sales, marketing strategy, digital media, advertising, or partnership management, preferably in the entertainment or live events industry.
- Strong ability to present, and persuade, with a track record of successfully engaging and influencing key stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, capable of balancing multiple initiatives and deadlines effectively.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with expertise in pitching, proposal development, and relationship management.
- Analytical mindset, with experience in leveraging data insights, media reporting tools, and digital analytics to inform strategy.
- Ability to negotiate and secure high-value partnerships, fostering long-term business growth.
- Proactive and results-driven approach, with a demonstrated ability to identify and execute new opportunities.
- Passion for Broadway, live entertainment, and event marketing, with a deep understanding of industry trends and audience engagement strategies
Working conditions:
The main office is centrally located at 1501 Broadway 14th floor.
This position is a Full-time- exempt. Monday through Friday, 10am to 6pm.
Ability to work some evenings and weekends may be required.
This position would be in a professional high paced office environment.
Physical requirements:
While performing the duties related to this job, the employee is regularly required to have visual acuity, talk, and hear while communicating with executives and other staff members. This position requires sitting, standing, bending, and walking. The employee may occasionally be asked to lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds.
