Overview of Role:The Director of Brand Marketing leads the development and execution of our global brand strategy across all channels and touchpoints. This role is responsible for building a cohesive brand identity that resonates with customers throughout their journey, enhances brand equity, and drives business growth. The Director will work collaboratively across all marketing functions to ensure brand consistency while adapting messaging to meet the unique needs of different customer segments and channels.
Primary responsibilities:- Develop and evolve the company's brand strategy, positioning, and messaging framework to support business objectives for Pens.com
- Lead brand campaigns and initiatives that build awareness, preference, and loyalty among target audiences
- Collaborate with Acquisition and Retention Marketing teams to ensure brand consistency across all customer touchpoints while optimizing for channel-specific requirements
- Partner with Creative to develop brand guidelines, assets, and campaigns that effectively communicate our value proposition
- Work with Marketing/Merchandising Operations to ensure accurate brand representation across all product categories and marketing materials
- Coordinate with Telesales teams to align verbal/email communication with overall brand messaging and ensure consistent customer experience
- Oversee brand health metrics and conduct regular research to measure brand awareness, perception, and competitive positioning
- Develop and manage the brand marketing budget to maximize impact and ROI
- Lead and mentor a team of brand marketing professionals, fostering creativity and strategic thinking
Required skills and knowledge:- 10+ years of marketing experience with at least 5 years in brand management or brand marketing roles
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful brand strategies in B2B and/or B2C environments
- Experience managing brands across multiple channels, including digital, direct mail, and sales-driven environments
- Strong understanding of promotional products industry or related fields preferred
- Excellent creative judgment and ability to evaluate creative concepts against brand standards
- Experience using research and analytics to inform brand strategy and measure brand performance
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
- Strong preference for candidates with promotional product industry experience.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred

This is a US Remote position. The California base annual salary/hourly range for this role is currently $140,000 - $180,000 per year. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members. Our recruiters can share more information about our bonus program, benefits and equity during the hiring process. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
