POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of Sales & Marketing is a key executive leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion through the strategic oversight of Commercial Sales, Military/Law Enforcement Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service team. This position develops and executes comprehensive marketing and sales strategies to achieve organizational revenue targets and to maximize customer engagement and satisfaction across all market segments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership:
·Lead the development and implementation of integrated sales and marketing strategies across all business units.
·Establishing revenue targets, market penetration goals, and customer satisfaction benchmarks that are aligned with corporate objectives.
·Collaboration with other executive team members to ensure alignment of sales and marketing initiatives with overall business strategy.
Sales Management:
·Oversee all sales functions, including both Commercial and Military/Law Enforcement divisions, both B2B (wholesale/distribution) and B2C.
·Managing and expanding a high-performing sales team, developing sales processes, establishing compensation structures, and implementing performance metrics.
·Analysis of sales data to identify trends and opportunities while ensuring consistent growth across all channels.
Marketing Direction:
·Direct all marketing activities, including brand management, product marketing, digital presence, and corporate communications.
·Oversee the marketing budget allocation, campaign development, and measurement of marketing effectiveness.
·Ensure marketing initiatives effectively support sales objectives while maintaining brand integrity across all channels.
Customer Service Excellence:
·Ensure the delivery of superior customer service across all business segments.
·Establish service standards, oversee support operations, and implement processes to measure and improve customer satisfaction.
·Analysis of customer feedback to drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
Financial Performance:
·Analyze sales performance metrics and reporting to develop strategies to address any gaps or opportunities for improvement.
·Forecast, Develop and manage sales/BD KPIs.
·Reports KPIs against performance targets.
·Sets specific targets for revenue, gross profit, etc.
·Develop growth plans for each market segment and make targeted efforts to grow each at a commensurate percentage.
·Report to senior leadership on quarterly results, key trends and areas for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, relevant advanced degree, or experience preferred
- Minimum 15 years of progressive sales and marketing experience, with at least 8 years in senior management roles
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth in relevant industries
- Experience managing diverse sales channels including commercial and government sectors
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making
- Excellence in strategic planning and execution
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
REPORTING STRUCTURE
- Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer
- Direct reports include Directors and Managers of Commercial Sales, Military/Law Enforcement Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service
SUCCESS METRICS
Performance in this role will be measured by achievement of revenue targets, market share growth, customer satisfaction metrics, and successful execution of strategic initiatives. The position requires regular reporting to the Executive Team on key performance indicators and strategic objectives.
