Duties

Conduct aptitude and qualification examinations at the MEPS and Military Entrance Test (MET) sites for the applicants of the various Armed Services.
Ensure 100% security and accountability of all accountable test material when conducting test sessions.
Operate a variety of office automation equipment including personal computers, facsimile machines, scanners, digital copiers, Personal Digital Assistants (PDA), and industrial shredders.
Assist in the conduct of test material inventories as required and ensure strict accountability and security of all testing materials.
Participate in required training activities within the organization, when assigned.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in conducting examinations for applicants at a testing site; Briefing applicants on examination procedures/directions to ensure understanding; Compiling test results into a centralized reporting system; Safeguarding testing materials to ensure no loss or compromise of testing materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
