JOB DESCRIPTION

System wide responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Accounting department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Certified Public Accountant preferred.
Five years prior healthcare experience with prior management experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and computer-based accounting and information systems
Written and oral communication skills to present financial information to department heads, clinical personnel without a financial background, and the Executive Team
Poise, confidence and tact to interact with personnel from all levels of a faith-based organization.

ABOUT THE TEAM

St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus, regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures.

The Medical Center offers a full complement of specialty and subspecialty services including ambulatory, behavioral health, cardiovascular, emergency/trauma, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic/spine, rehabilitation, surgical specialty, women’s health, imaging and pediatrics.
