Soup N’ Spud — Mess Hall at FLIGHT, Tustin

Soup N’ Spud is looking for an experienced, dependable Line Cook to join our growing kitchen team.

We serve made-to-order baked potatoes, melts, soups, salads, grilled proteins, and comfort-food favorites using quality ingredients and simple, consistent preparation. We are looking for someone who can work efficiently, stay organized during busy periods, and take pride in the food they serve.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to Soup N’ Spud recipes and standards
Work the grill, griddle, sauté, and hot food stations
Prepare melts, grilled chicken, beef, brisket, baked potatoes, soups, salads, and other menu items
Handle multiple tickets while maintaining speed, quality, and presentation
Complete daily prep including vegetables, proteins, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients
Properly portion and store food
Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift
Follow food safety, sanitation, temperature-control, and cross-contamination procedures
Restock the line and communicate with the team before items run low
Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
Help with cleaning, dishes, trash, and general kitchen organization when needed
Receive and properly store deliveries when assigned
Work cooperatively with cashiers, kitchen staff, and management
What We’re Looking For
Previous restaurant line cook experience required
Comfortable working on a grill or griddle
Able to work quickly and accurately during busy service
Strong understanding of kitchen cleanliness and food safety
Dependable and punctual
Organized and able to follow recipes and portion standards
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Comfortable working in a smaller kitchen where everyone helps where needed
Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift typical kitchen supplies and food containers

Compensation

$21–$24 per hour, depending on experience

Part-time and full-time opportunities may be available.
