SoCal Pet Hospital in Murrieta, CA is looking for an experienced veterinarian to join our team as Medical Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for a doctor who loves surgery, is confident in canine and feline medicine, and is passionate about mentoring and developing other veterinarians while helping shape the medical culture of a hospital.

Our medical team includes Dr. Dave Quing, Dr. Yichen Guo, and Dr. Anna Grotjahn, alongside Practice Manager Lauren, RVT. We are a collaborative, medicine-forward team with a “say yes” culture—we work together to find solutions for our patients, clients, and each other. Our doctors see a diverse caseload including dogs, cats, exotics, and wildlife, creating plenty of opportunity for collaboration and continued clinical growth.

SoCal Pet is a surgery-forward hospital with a strong and varied surgical caseload. We have established relationships with local breeders and historically see a significant number of reproductive cases, including C-sections. Beyond surgery, our doctors manage wellness, internal medicine, urgent care, diagnostics, and complex medical cases.

For our next Medical Lead, we are especially excited to find a strong surgeon and confident clinician who genuinely enjoys coaching and mentoring other doctors. Someone who wants to lead collaboratively, support the growth of an already talented medical team, and continue building a culture of excellent medicine and finding ways to say “yes” will thrive here. Experience with exotics or wildlife is not required, but would be a great bonus.

Located in Murrieta, California, SoCal Pet offers the opportunity to combine hands-on clinical medicine and surgery with meaningful medical leadership. If you are ready for a leadership role where you can practice, mentor, coach, and make a real impact on the future of a hospital and its medical team, we would love to meet you.
