We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Office Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage essential administrative tasks while maintaining accurate financial records. Your expertise in accounting software and financial concepts will ensure seamless operations and compliance with industry standards.

Duties

Data entry
Filing
Answering phones
Booking travel
Ordering office supplies
Stocking breakroom snacks
General business accounting
Coordinating facilities maintenance
Corresponding with customers
Occasional event planning
Other office tasks

Skills

Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms
Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation
Familiarity with financial concepts including account analysis, account reconciliation, and financial report writing
Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account reconciliation
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks accurately under deadlines

Qualifications:

Associates degree (or higher) or at least 5 years experience
Must be US citizen
Experience in office environment
Excellent written and verbal skills
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
Experience in business accounting
Experience using QuickBooks a plus
Experience in facilities management a plus
Experience with IT management a plus
