Job Summary:

The IT Support Technician provides technical assistance and support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role ensures the smooth operation of IT systems by troubleshooting problems, maintaining equipment, and delivering excellent customer service.

Handle user inquiries via phone, email, or in person regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
Work within our ticketing system to diagnose and resolve technical problems promptly and efficiently.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including setting up user accounts and devices.
Document support requests, resolutions, and maintain accurate records in the ticketing system.
Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security protocols.
Assist with procurement, both in the ordering and setup of new equipment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (degree not required based on relevant experience)
Experience: 1-2 years of IT support or helpdesk experience.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Working knowledge of M365 and related products.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods.
Effective communication skills via telephone and email.
Ability to lift forty (40) pounds. Moving, lifting, or carrying boxes.
