Maurer Law is hiring a full-time Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney to join our growing Northern California practice.

We are a plaintiff personal injury and elder abuse firm built around five core values: honesty, helpfulness, high quality, hospitality, and hard work. We are looking for an attorney with at least eight years of experience in personal injury law who wants meaningful responsibility, a strong support team, clear expectations, and a long-term opportunity to grow with the firm.

About the Role
This is a full-time, in person position. We believe the best collaboration happens face-to-face.

Compensation
• Base Salary: $185,000 - $200,000 starting range (commensurate with experience)
• Bonus Potential: Up to $80,000 annually ($20,000 per quarter)

What You’ll Do
• Manage and develop a docket of personal injury cases
• Meet with potential clients and evaluate new cases
• Develop case strategy from intake through resolution
• Take and defend depositions
• Review and handle written discovery
• Draft and argue motions
• Work with treating physicians and retained experts
• Prepare for and attend mediations
• Negotiate settlements
• Prepare cases for trial
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys on the firm’s highest-value cases

About Maurer Law

We prosecute personal injury, wrongful death, and elder abuse cases—primarily in Sacramento, Placer, Nevada, and El Dorado counties. Most cases involve auto crashes (including dangerous roadway claims), plus falls, dog bites, and defective products. Our elder abuse cases focus on injuries or death caused by reckless neglect in skilled nursing and residential care facilities.

Our main office is in Auburn, across from the Historic Placer County Courthouse. We also have satellite offices in Grass Valley, Lincoln, and Truckee for client meetings and trial prep.
