At Moonlight Beach, Encinitas

Good summer job for people home from college for the summer, or just on summer vacation from high school, or anyone.

Hours for summer camp are June 16 - August 16, Monday-Friday. Surf camp is 9am-1pm, Monday to Friday. So you get there 8:45 (maybe 8:30) and leave at 1:15 (or 1:30) $16.50/hour, 4.5 - 5 hours per day = $80 per day, $400 for the week. Paid 20-30 minute lunch, paid on the job training.

NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED -- WE WILL TRAIN YOU

OUR WISH LIST for your qualifications:

At least 5 years surfing experience
18 years old minimum. (City regulation)
In college or graduate, or plans to attend college.
High School diploma

NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
We can easily train you in our methods. We have written guidelines for instructors. As long as you are energetic, professional, able to follow direction, and have surfed for a while, you will do fine. We are looking for people who have surfed 5 years or more, but less is okay. If you are second generation surfer, ie, your parents surf, that is a plus. These are camps for kids. Paid 30 minutes lunch.

If you have LIFEGUARD, EMT or CPR certifications, that will increase your chances of working.

WE ALWAYS CONSIDER WAY LESS THAN THE ABOVE QUALIFICATIONS, OUR "WISH LIST" FOR INSTRUCTORS, we look at all past experience and personalities, don't think you are disqualified because of the above criteria.
