Intake Breathing is a fast-growing DTC health and wellness company. We build products that help people breathe better, sleep better, and perform better. We move fast, we build lean, and we expect technology to be a force multiplier, not a cost center.

The Role

This is not a traditional IT job. Yes, you will own our internal systems, devices, and infrastructure. But the reason this role exists is bigger: we want someone who builds with AI, not someone who waits for a ticket.

You will keep the company running day to day. You will also identify manual workflows across CX, ops, and marketing, then replace them with AI agents and internal tools you build yourself. You should be the kind of person who prototypes a working solution in an afternoon using Claude Code, Cursor, or Lovable, ships it, and iterates.

You are also the enablement layer for everyone else. Team members across the company are standing up their own AI tools. Your job is to help them build, then hold every tool to a standard. You set the security requirements. You set the rigidity requirements per tool. Nothing goes live without meeting them.

You report directly to the EVP of Clinical Integrations & Customer Outcomes and work closely with every department. Your impact will be visible across the entire company.

What You Will Do

IT Operations (roughly 30%)

Own device provisioning, onboarding, and offboarding for all staff
Administer Google Workspace, Shopify staff access, Slack, and our SaaS stack
Manage office network infrastructure (UniFi), conference room AV, and access systems
Handle security fundamentals: MFA enforcement, passkey management, access reviews, endpoint hygiene
Be the first call when something breaks. Fix it fast. Document the fix.

AI Implementation (roughly 30%)

Identify repetitive workflows in CX, fulfillment, finance, and marketing. Automate them.
Build and maintain AI agents using the Anthropic API, OpenAI API, and agent frameworks
Build integrations across Shopify, Klaviyo, Stay.ai, HubSpot, Gorgias, and Zapier / Shopify Flow
Own prompt design, evals, and guardrails. Your agents must be reliable, not just impressive in a demo.
Measure everything. Hours saved, tickets deflected, errors reduced. Report it monthly.

Team Enablement and Tool Governance (roughly 25%)

Coach team members as they stand up their own AI tools and automations. Pair with them. Unblock them. Make them faster.
Define and enforce security requirements for every internal tool: authentication, access scoping, data handling, API key management, and vendor review
Set rigidity requirements per tool based on its risk tier. A marketing brainstorm bot and an agent touching customer or order data do not get the same bar.
Run a lightweight review process before any team-built tool goes live. Fast approvals for low-risk tools. Hard gates for anything touching customer data, payments, or PII.
Maintain a registry of every internal tool and agent: owner, purpose, data access, and review status
Kill or fix tools that drift out of compliance. No shadow IT.

Internal Tooling and Vibecoding (roughly 15%)

Build internal dashboards, calculators, and micro-apps using AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or similar)
Ship fast, get feedback, iterate. Perfect is the enemy of shipped.
Maintain what you build. No orphaned tools.

What You Bring

Required

3+ years in IT support, systems administration, or IT operations
Hands-on experience building and deploying at least one AI agent or LLM-powered workflow in a real business setting. You will demo it in the interview.
Working proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools. You do not need a CS degree. You need to ship.
Comfort with APIs, webhooks, and automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n, or Shopify Flow)
Google Workspace administration experience
Working knowledge of security fundamentals: least-privilege access, secrets management, data classification, and basic vendor security review
Ability to teach. You will spend real time helping non-technical teammates build well. Patience and clarity are part of the job.
Judgment on risk. You can tell the difference between a tool that needs a quick look and one that needs a hard gate.
Strong written communication. You will document everything you build and every standard you set.
Bias toward action. You see a broken process, and you fix it without being asked.

Nice to Have

Shopify ecosystem experience (apps, Flow, staff permissions, subscriptions)
Helpdesk platform administration (Gorgias, Zendesk, Intercom, or Gladly)
Basic scripting (Python or JavaScript)
UniFi or comparable network administration
Experience at a DTC or e-commerce company
Klaviyo or HubSpot administration

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary: $95,000–$125,000 depending on experience.
