We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller / Front Desk Coordinator for a busy chiropractic office in Temecula. This position starts as part-time (15 hours/week) and will transition to full-time (35 hours/week) over the course of several months as you complete your training.

Responsibilities

Insurance billing, coding, claim submission, follow-up, and collections
Review CPT and ICD-10 coding for accurate billing
Follow up on unpaid and denied claims
Verify insurance benefits and maintain accurate patient insurance information
Collect co-pays and patient payments
Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation case management
PI and WC note/document submissions
Provider credentialing and recredentialing
Payment posting and tracking, including Zelis and Echo
Patient scheduling, check-in/check-out, and phone support
Coordinate with attorneys, insurance companies, adjusters, and healthcare providers
Process subpoenas and medical records requests
Maintain accurate patient, billing, and medical records
Use billing software and EMR/EHR systems
General front desk and office support
Qualifications

Previous medical billing and front desk experience
Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
Experience with insurance claims, follow-up, and collections
Familiarity with EMR/EHR and medical billing software
Experience with Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation preferred; training available
Credentialing experience preferred
Strong computer and organizational skills
Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to follow through on outstanding accounts
Professional communication and customer service skills
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
