About GetBirdieBid

GBB is a dedicated, boutique multi-vendor auction marketplace engineered exclusively for mint-condition, like-new, and tour-spec golf equipment. Unlike cluttered, broad-based classified platforms, GBB is built for serious gear junkies, collectors, and players looking for vetted high-end gear—with a core focus on milled putters, custom-ground wedges, and premium clubs.
Position Overview

We are seeking a driven, connected Business Development & Vendor Acquisition Specialist to spearhead our merchant onboarding ahead of our platform launch. In this role, you will be the front-line ambassador recruiting pro shops, custom fitters, boutique golf retailers, and independent collectors to list their premier inventory.

This is an entrepreneurial, 1099 commission-only opportunity designed for someone who lives and breathes golf, understands equipment specs, and wants an aggressive payout model combining immediate activation bounties, trailing gross merchandise value (GMV) commissions, and milestone bonuses.
Primary Responsibilities

Direct Outreach & Prospecting: Identify, contact, and pitch regional golf shop managers, PGA head professionals, custom club fitters, and high-volume collectors.

Vendor Onboarding: Guide prospective sellers through the onboarding process, including setting up their vendor storefront and connecting their payout accounts via Stripe Connect.

Catalog Curation: Assist new vendors in selecting appropriate high-tier inventory (milled putters, specialty wedges, tour-issue items) that aligns with platform condition guidelines (New/In Box, Mint, Like New).

Listing Optimization: Ensure vendors submit sharp imagery, comprehensive equipment specs (loft, lie, bounce, shaft flex), and realistic auction reserve prices to drive liquidity.

Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing relationships with onboarded vendors to ensure consistent listing flow and repeat participation in weekly auction drops.

Compensation & Incentive Structure

This role features an uncapped, multi-tiered commission plan:

$75 Vendor Activation Bounty: Paid for every verified vendor who completes setup and publishes at least 5 live, approved listings.

2.5% Trailing GMV Commission: Earn 2.5% of the gross sale price on every completed auction generated by your acquired vendors for their first 180 days.

Residual Platform Rev-Share: Transition to a 25% share of net platform commissions after month 6 for sustained long-term residual income.

Milestone Accelerators:

$500 Cash Bonus for onboarding 10 qualified vendors with 100+ cumulative active listings in your first 30 days.

$500 Cash Bonus upon reaching 30 completed auction sales across your vendor base in your first 60 days.

Qualifications & Requirements

Golf Equipment Acumen: Strong working knowledge of golf gear, premium brands (Scotty Cameron, Titleist Vokey, Bettinardi, Artisan, Callaway, TaylorMade), and equipment specifications.

Established Industry Network: Existing relationships with local golf pros, fitters, or regional golf communities is a significant advantage.

Self-Directed Hustle: Proven ability to source leads, manage a pipeline, and close deals independently without micromanagement.

Clear Communication: Professional verbal and written skills when representing the platform to course directors, shop owners, and business operators.

Tech Comfort: Familiarity with digital e-commerce workflows, marketplace seller dashboards, and basic photo standards for equipment listings.

Why Join Us?

Flexible Autonomy: Work your own hours, set your own schedule, and operate anywhere—whether pitching on the practice green, visiting pro shops, or networking online.

Ground-Floor Opportunity: Help establish the anchor vendor base for a boutique digital platform at inception, positioning yourself for expanded leadership as marketplace operations scale.

Uncapped Upside: Your compensation is tied directly to the inventory volume and GMV you bring to the marketplace.
