Job Title: Data Analyst

Reports To: Manager, Data Intelligence

Summary:

The Data Analyst supports operational and analytical needs by extracting, transforming, and analyzing data from internal systems, third-party sources, and financial reports. This role works closely with the Data Intelligence team and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, maintain data reporting frameworks, and contribute to the development and enhancement of internal software applications.

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines to support portfolio analysis, borrowing base calculations, and operational reporting
Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools using Power BI, Excel, and other visualization platforms to support decision-making across business units
Utilize AI and app-gen tools to build reports in internal systems, including full stack codebases
Extract and analyze data from internal systems external to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Support the development and testing of internal software applications by validating data integrity, identifying bugs, and providing functional feedback to the development team
Automate manual data workflows using Python, SQL, VBA, or AI-assisted tooling to improve efficiency and reduce processing time
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define data needs, and translate operational questions into structured analytical outputs
Leverage AI tools and large language models to enhance analytical workflows, accelerate data processing, and explore new approaches to recurring business problems
Document data sources, transformation logic, and reporting methodologies to ensure institutional knowledge is maintained and processes are repeatable
Other duties as assigned by direct, department, or division leadership

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in a data, analytics, or technical role
Proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write complex queries and stored procedures
Strong skills in Excel, including VBA, advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling
Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, automation, or scripting
Familiarity with leveraging agentic AI and large language models (LLMs) to enhance analytical work and processes
Strong attention to detail with the ability to validate data, identify anomalies, and ensure accuracy across reporting outputs
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build reports and dashboards to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with data pipeline architecture and ETL processes
Experience with AWS services (S3, RDS, or similar) in a data context is a plus
Experience in finance, lending, or asset-based lending industries is a plus
