Part-Time | Approximately 20-25 Hours/Week | Evenings & Weekends | San Diego

Club Pilates is looking for an outgoing, confident and people-focused Sales & Coaching Lead to help elevate sales performance across four established San Diego studios: Mission Valley, North Park, La Mesa and Santee.

This is not a traditional studio management position.

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves sales, understands people and enjoys helping others become better at selling.

You'll personally work leads, build relationships with prospective members, book Intro Classes and close memberships but an equally important part of your role will be helping our team strengthen their own sales skills.

If you're someone who can walk into a room, connect easily with people, recognize opportunities and coach others in a way that builds confidence, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

You'll work across all four studios to help strengthen the entire sales journey...

You'll work across all four studios to help strengthen the entire sales journey, from the first inquiry to the Intro Class to the membership decision.

This is a hands-on role. You'll coach sales, but you'll also sell alongside the team and demonstrate what great sales execution looks like.

Your role will include:

Actively working new and existing leads across all four studios

Making outbound calls, texting and following up with prospective members

Booking prospects into Intro Classes

Attending select evening and weekend Intro Classes and helping convert prospects into members

Re-engaging old leads, missed opportunities and Intro no-shows

Coaching team members on discovery, communication, follow-up, objection handling and closing

Hosting weekly sales training and role-play sessions

Providing occasional one-on-one coaching when someone needs additional support

Reviewing sales activity and identifying where opportunities are being lost

Helping create consistency and accountability across the sales process

Supporting grassroots marketing, community events, local partnerships and lead-generation opportunities

Collaborating with Studio Managers to strengthen overall sales performance

As the team develops and becomes stronger, your role may evolve but your primary focus will remain the same:

Help us turn more conversations into Intro Classes, more Intro Classes into members, and help our team become better at sales along the way.

The Person We're Looking For

Personality matters tremendously in this role.

We're looking for someone who is:

Warm, confident and approachable

Naturally conversational and genuinely curious about people

A strong listener who knows how to ask great questions

Comfortable asking for the sale without sounding scripted or pushy

Persistent with follow-up without being aggressive

Self-motivated and comfortable working independently

Energized by measurable results and accountability

Positive, adaptable and easy to work with

Comfortable giving feedback and coaching different personalities

Someone who gets real satisfaction from helping other people improve

You don't need to know Pilates when you start.

You do need to know how to connect with people, uncover what matters to them, confidently recommend a solution and ask them to take the next step.

Sales Experience

Previous experience in sales, sales leadership, coaching or team development is strongly preferred.

Experience in fitness/wellness, hospitality, memberships, high-touch consumer sales or another relationship-driven environment is a plus but strong sales ability, emotional intelligence and coaching skills matter more to us than a particular industry background.

We're especially interested in people who have experience with:

Consultative or relationship-based selling

Outbound phone sales and lead follow-up

CRM/pipeline management

Membership or recurring-revenue sales

Sales coaching or team development

Lead generation and community outreach

Schedule & Flexibility

This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20-25 hours per week.

The biggest need is during evenings and weekends, when our prospective members are most available.

A significant portion of evening lead follow-up and outbound calling can be done remotely, so you do not need to sit in a studio simply to make calls.

However, this is not a fully remote position.

You'll need to be available in person for select Intro Classes, team coaching, studio visits, grassroots efforts and community events.

Because you'll be supporting our Mission Valley, North Park, La Mesa and Santee studios, candidates should live within a reasonable driving distance of these locations and be comfortable moving between them when needed.

This role may be especially appealing to an experienced sales professional looking for a flexible, meaningful part-time opportunity alongside another position.

Compensation

Competitive hourly compensation plus sales commission and additional performance-based earning opportunities.

We believe strong performance should be rewarded.

Why This Role Is Different
You won't be sitting behind a desk managing schedules or running day-to-day studio operations.

Your focus is sales and people development.

You'll have the freedom to work independently, bring ideas to the table and directly influence performance across four studios.

You'll also have the opportunity to see your impact in real time, not only through stronger sales numbers, but through team members becoming more confident, conversational and effective because of your coaching.

We want someone who sees a missed opportunity and thinks:

“I know how to make this better.”

And then enjoys helping make it happen.

To Apply

Please send your resume along with a short introduction telling us about your sales experience, your approach to working with people and why this particular role caught your attention.

And we'd love for you to answer these two quick questions:

1. Imagine you step into a studio where plenty of leads are coming in, but too few are becoming members. What are the first 2-3 things you would look at or change?

2. You're coaching someone who is wonderful with people but uncomfortable with “selling.” How would you help them become more confident and effective without making them sound scripted or pushy?

If you love sales, enjoy developing people and like the idea of having the flexibility to make a meaningful impact across four studios, we'd love to hear from you.
