The City of Sheridan Information Technology Division is currently recruiting for a

reliable, self-motivated and customer-service driven individual to fill the position of IT

Analyst. This position provides Tier 2/3 technical support, assists with systems

administration, evaluates and improves business technology processes, and supports

implementation of new software and infrastructure solutions

**MAJOR DUTIES**

Evaluate current business processes and IT systems to identify areas for improvement in service delivery through IT solutions.
Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
Lead or assist in the rollout of new software applications, system upgrades, and migrations.
Maintains and supports workstation, server, and network hardware and related systems.
Create and maintain technical manuals, system configurations, and user guides for internal staff
Coordinate with external vendors for hardware procurement and software licensing
Remains informed of changing industry standards and best practices. Performs related duties.

**KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION**

Knowledge of software installation and maintenance.
Knowledge of basic hardware installation techniques.
Knowledge of the installation, maintenance and repair of a variety of peripheral devices

The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light and heavy objects and distinguishes between shades of color.
