The Jaffrey Corporate Office is hiring a Director of Finance who will be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations. This role ensures financial integrity, compliance and sustainability while supporting executive leadership in strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy & Leadership

o Develop and implement the organization's financial strategy and long-term financial goals.

o Advise the executive team on financial performance, risks and opportunities.

o Provide financial modeling, forecasting and scenario analysis for strategic initiatives.

• Financial Management & Reporting

o Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes, including capital expenditures and operational budgets.

o Ensure accurate, timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

o Monitor cash flow, investments and financial performance metrics.

o Present financial reports to executive leadership and board of directors.

• Accounting & Controls

o Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

o Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, Payroll and reconciliations.

o Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.

• Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

o Manage company cash flow, banking relationships, and credit lines.

o Optimize accounts payable/receivable processes.

• Inventory & Cost Management

o Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams to manage cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuation, and shrinkage.

o Implement controls to ensure accurate inventory tracking and valuation.

• Risk Management

o Identify and manage financial risks, liquidity, credit and compliance issues.

• Team Leadership

o Manage, lead and develop the finance and accounting team.

o Set goals, review performance

o Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.

o Team members will perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a Controller or similar leadership role.

• Experience in the lumber, building materials, or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Organized with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

• Works well under pressure and deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
