Are you a seasoned leader in transportation operations looking for your next challenge? Join our team as a Senior Operations Manager, where you'll oversee regional fleet operations, optimize delivery performance, and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

As our Senior Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include:

Leadership & Team Management
• Lead and mentor the operations team to ensure balanced resources and optimal performance.
• Make critical employment decisions, including hiring, promotions, and corrective actions.
• Oversee employee performance, provide coaching, and conduct performance reviews.
• Develop training programs to enhance employee skills and compliance with procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of employee timekeeping and attendance.

Transportation Operations
• Collaborate with customer service, shipping, and brokerage teams to optimize delivery strategies.
• Monitor and adjust driver capacity to support efficient operations across locations.
• Partner with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Use Continuous Quality Improvement and statistical methods to plan for future delivery needs.

Performance Monitoring
• Assist in annual budget creation and monitor departmental performance to meet financial goals.
• Optimize resources, including equipment, facilities, and personnel, to enhance operational efficiency.

What You Need
• A bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of transportation operations experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale fleet and operations.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
