Overview:

Shop Foreman will lead and manage our shop production operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe running of the shop, with a strong focus on millwork products. The employee will oversee all aspects of shop production, training, and team management while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise shop operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to the production schedule.
Train new and existing employees on shop policies and procedures, ensuring that all personnel are up-to-date and compliant.
Oversee all shop operations to confirm schedules are maintained and work is performed efficiently.
Be knowledgeable about millwork products, including doors and trim, to guide production and troubleshooting efforts.
Serve as the direct report for all shop production team members, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
Assist management in enforcing current processes and procedures while working with the Shop Operations Manager to develop new ones to enhance overall efficiency and thoroughness.
Maintain a safe and collaborative work environment by conducting regular safety inspections and meetings.
Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
Complete other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications: 

At least 5 years proven experience as a shop foreman, o a similar leadership role in a manufacturing or production environment. 
Extensive knowledge of millwork products, including doors and trim is a plus.
Extensive knowledge in warehouse safety and OSHA regulations
Proficient in forklift operation and experienced in loading and unloading trucks. 
Strong leadership and team management skills. 
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 
Ability to adapt to change and implement new processes. 
Proficiency in computer skills. 
Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods. 
Ability to lift to up to 75 pounds.  
Bilingual is a plus.
